We don't go out to eat much but when we have visitors............ anyway on Thursday, Sept 16, 2010 when 2 of my wife's sisters were in town with their husbands we went to Betty's A1A Cafe in Ormond By The Sea Florida. The waitress volunteered to snap a photo of the group.

Everyone had something different and we were all very pleased with the service and the food.  An assortment of entrees was ordered and enjoyed including fried haddock, chicken tenders, seafood platter and chopped sirloin platter.  I would recomend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

I received a letter from the post office indicating the Daytona Beach Florida post office at 500 Bill France Blvd was recommended to close by a study being done to try to save money.  Then this morning a Headline in the Daytona Beach News-Journal indicated the same thing.  The closure would mean the loss of over 100 local jobs, the Daytona Beach postmark, next day local delivery and possible mail delays.  There is a public hearing to accept public input on the proposed closure scheduled for Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 7 PM at the Plaza hotel, 600 N Atlantic Ave., in Daytona Beach.  Public comments may also be submitted to:

Hobby Lobby has opened a new 50,000 Sq. Ft. store in Daytona Beach, Florida at 2455 West International Speedway Blvd. The building was previously Ross Dress For Less.
Hobby Lobby, an arts and crafts retailer, will be competing with Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts and Michaels, both of which have stores in the area. Hobby Lobby was founded in 1972 in Oklahoma City.
